In addition to the regular programming, each
summer we offer diverse summer camps and
classes for very young children and students in
grades K – 12. Past classes have included full-
week camps, Musical Theatre, Composing and
World Drumming Workshops and Chamber
Music programs. The Summer brochure is
available in March.
National Music Week is an annual celebration sponsored by The
National Federation of Music Clubs held the first full week of May.
The Piano Prep School celebrates this special week by offering free
workshops, classes and concerts for current families and the Dayton
community. The school welcomes special guests throughout the
week who serve as “Artist-in-Residence.” Past guests have included
composer Jeannine Yeager; Dr. Donna Cox, expert on African-
American music; Dr. Heather MacLachlan, ethnomusicologist;
sculptor/musician Michael Bashaw and The Dayton Philharmonic
String Quartet. Information and a calendar of events is released in
March. Please join us for this very special week of community
celebration!

"The extra workshops and classes you offer are invaluable! For the student who needs a little extra motivation, this is a great way to spark their creativity and keep them engaged in music. Thank you!"
